Dimtone is an alternative rock/metal trio from Vihanti, which takes influences from various genres. The guys have been playing together with this line-up since the beginning of 2011, although they have played together in previous projects for several years. Dimtone recorded its first untitled demo at SoundKitchen-studio in April 2011. The first demo received really good feedback, and Dimtone spent the following summer composing new material and rehearsing. They recorded a new demo called Redrawing Skylines in October 2011, which also received a very positive feedback from the listeners and critics. The demo has since been sold out. After a busy beginning of 2012 Dimtone took also part in Nuclear Nightclub's Nuclear Explosion band contest, where they got to the semifinals and received great feedback from the judges. The band composed new material during the spring and summer, and at the end of July Dimtone recorded it's third demo called Owl Eyes. Future plans for Dimtone include a lot of gigging, getting new listeners and making new material.
